Collider has a 1 on 1 with Director Brian Taylor

Over at the Collider website, blogger Steve Weintraub posted an interview with one of the directors from the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance sequel. Basing my opinion on this video interview and the comic-con interview, Brian Taylor seems like a great guy to have a conversation with over some beers. Mark Neveldine, not so much.

In the video, Weintraub asks questions about how it was working with restriction in filming for 3D, the time length of the sequel, Idris Elba’s performance, the passing of the movie, deleted scenes and much more. Read more »

Ghost Rider in SanDiego ComicCon

Well after surfing the net for hours, looking for any news about the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance movie from the San Diego Comic Con. I found lots of repetition and crappy quality images of the Ghost Rider teaser posters. I’ve gathered only the best images and links to the sites that actually gave users actual news about the movie and not just constantly posting the movie synopsis. I really wish I had gone this year to see the teaser trailer at the Sony panel. Not cool of me.

The Spirit of Vengeance at San Diego

People around the web have been posting their lists of what to check out at this years San Diego Comic-Con. Some interesting stuff I wish I’d plan on going this year to check out. But you know what they say: “you snooze, you lose”. In the Ghost Rider related subject, there will be a Sony Pictures panel for the new Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance movie coming out next year in February. I’ve heard they’ll be revealing the Neveldine & Taylor Ghost Rider design at the panel.

“4:00-6:30 Sony— Sony returns to Hall H with a stellar lineup of films and talent, including:
Ghost Rider-Spirit of Vengeance — After blazing a trail around the globe in the worldwide hit Ghost Rider, Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in Columbia Pictures’ Ghost Rider-Spirit of Vengeance. Still struggling with his curse as the devil’s bounty hunter, Blaze is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciaran Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider again, but it is the only way to protect the boy — and possibly rid himself of his curse forever. Live on stage: directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank) and stars Nicolas Cage, Idris Elba, and Johnny Whitworth….”

Brian Taylor & Mark Neveldine are going to mess with our minds

Nicolas Cage has been going around doing interviews about his upcoming movies. After reading a few of the post, I’ve got to say I’m curious to what the directors Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine have plan for the movie. Cage repeatedly states:

Mark Neveldine is doing things with the camera that are just brand new. He’s on rollerblades. He’s hanging off of wires at 300 feet. He’s just doing things that are combination stuntman and camera operator/director that are quite shocking and quite risky. And Brian Taylor is just a philosopher when it comes to movies. You can talk to him about Michael Powell’s Peeping Tom, and you can go into Ishiro Honda’s The War of the Gargantuas, in the same sentence.
