Parts of the second Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance movie, will be shot in the city of Pamukkale and Hierapolis. Several important scenes, including the final scenes, will be shot in the province of Denizli of Turkey (Turkiye), which is known for its white travertine falls and Cappadocia. Shooting will start on January 24th and will continue through February 2th.
Producer Brian Taylor came to Pamukkale with a team of 35 last week to scout locations for the movie, while a crew of nearly 400 is expected to come to Denizli for the movie. Has cast directors have also started searching for extras for the final scenes.
Denizli Governor Yavuz Erkmen said officials from Sony Company, which is releasing the movie, would come to the city this week. Erkmen added that the movie would contribute immensely to the promotion of Pamukkale and that they would try to inform the movie team, actors and actresses of every detail of Denizli.
“This project was put in motion by the initiative of the Culture and Tourism Ministry. I offer my thanks to Culture and Tourism Minister Ertuğrul Günay for his efforts in promoting this location so that part of the film will be shot here. This movie is a great opportunity for a more effective promotion of Pamukkale, which is already world famous” said an officials from Sony Company.
Stating that they would ask the production team to use elements unique to Denizli, such as Buldan textiles, Erkmen said: “We will make the best of this opportunity for the promotion of Pamukkale and Denizli. We will describe Denizli to the producers, actors and actresses. We will emphasize its natural and cultural beauty and show them our thermal health tourism.
